ESTEE LAUDER EXOTIC PINK

One of my favourite products of 2013 is this Pure Colour Blush from Estée Lauder. I bought it at the beginning on the year and even with using it nearly everyday as part of daily makeup routine it still looks like it hasn't be touched. It is quite pricey (at around £25) however considering how long I have used it for it is definitely worth the price. You can find it on the website HERE. I bought it in the colour 'Exotic Pink' which is a very bright pink. You only need a very tiny amount to get a good result. It is very easy to look very "rosy cheeked" with this if you put too much product on as it very highly pigmented - and you'll end up looking like someone from TOWIE.
apply this product with the Real Techniques Blush Brush by Samantha Chapman. It comes with a mini Estée Lauder brush but I don't use it to apply it. I put a tiny amount on the tip of the brush and then blend it into my cheeks. I love this blush as it lasts all day and you rarely have to touch up throughout the day. It also looks very natural considering it is a very bright colour. I was a bit sceptical when buying it whether it would be too bright against my skin but it works really well. I also love the packaging of this and it fits really well in my makeup bag.

I will definitely be continuing to use this product into 2014 as it is the perfect everyday blush. However I am also determined to find an alternative blush for the summer which is a lot lighter and peach toned as I want to try something slightly different. Overall, I would say that this blush is perfect for anyone who doesn't mind spending a little bit more money knowing that this product will last a decent amount of time. I haven't used that many Estée Lauder products in the past but now I am more inclined to buying more products as I know it will be worth it.

POST CHRISTMAS BLUES

January is my least favourite month of the year as my birthday, christmas and new year is all over. The only thing we are left with is the crappy, rainy weather and the thought of going back to work. However, It does give me the chance to wear some of the clothes that I got as gifts at christmas or I bought myself. I got a lot of gift vouchers for my birthday/christmas which means I had a bit of money to go a spend on a new winter wardrobe (which I was in desperate need for!). I definitely got a lot with the money & I'm very happy with my purchases.
 Cardigan - Primark
Top - H&M
Jeans - Primark
Boots - George at ASDA
Bag - River Island
Necklace - New Look

I absolutely love this oversized grey cardigan from Primark. I received it as a christmas present, although I was actually picked it out when I was shopping with my mum so I knew I was going to get it. It is so warm and is so easy to throw on with a variety of outfits. I have also worn my new boots nearly everyday. I don't usually wear black boots but I am so happy with them. They are really comfy even with a little heel (which you can't see) and I love the sued detailing. Unfortunately they are not online anymore so I couldn't link them. My River Island was also a Christmas present as I needed a new daily bag for uni. I love the B+W detailing on this and it's such a great size.

SALE SHOPPING

This type of year is very well known for it's crazy sales. I'm personally not the biggest fan of searching recklessly for decent sale items in hot sweaty shops. I would much prefer to search the web for sale items in the comfort of my own home with a nice cup of tea by my side! There is just as much variety and it is so much easier! Here are some sale items I have found that I have my eye on! I have already spend so much over christmas and I can't really afford much more, but I'm not sure how long my debit card is going stay in my purse after finding these.

For a while now I have been looking for a fur faux scarf. I found this one from New Look a couple of weeks ago but I didn't want to spend £13 on it so close to christmas. However how it is half price I can't really say no! I love the two toned pattern in it. Everyone who knows me, knows I love a good statement necklace. I probably have too many already but I absolutely love this mirrored one from Topshop. Sticking with the mirrored theme, I also love this heels from ASOS. However, I don't tend to wear heels that often anymore unless for very special occasions. The Diptyque fragrances have always been raved about and I have always wanted to try them myself and now they are in the sale for a fraction of the price, I have no excuse! What are your January sale favourites this year?

TWENTY FOURTEEN

Hi, long time no speak! I have completely abandoned this blog since the summer as I have been extremely busy over the last 6 months with working and starting uni etc. I Haven't had a chance to put all my attention into developing this blog. However, with it being the new year and everything I thought I would try and get into it again. I had forgotten how much I have missed just browsing at other peoples blogs and creating my own personal space. I want to start regularly blogging at least once a week to get into the swing of things. I have a lot more time on my hands so this seems like a reasonable goal. Like I said, I have now started university and developing a blog will also help with my degree (BA Hons Advertising) as social networking and marketing plays is a big part in that industry. This will hopefully give me a head start into getting a career in that industry. 2013 was a great year for me and I hope that 2014 will be just as good! Hope everyone is having a great start to the year! Happy 2014!

HOLIDAY INSTAGRAM: CORFU

In June, me and 12 of my close friends booked a holiday to Kavos, Corfu for 10 days. Kavos is known for being a "party place" and although we did go out and experience the crazy nightlife we did also get to see some of the really lovely places in Corfu. I thought I would show you some of my favourite Instagram photos that I took. Kavos itself really isn't as bad as it is made out to be (What Happens in Kavos) and we all had a really good time.
Beachview | Boat trip around Corfu | Boats at Paxos Beach

We went on the "Black Pearl" boat trip around Corfu and we got to visit Paxos Beach and big caves and Lagoons were we able to jump of the boat and have a swim. We also were able to go snorkeling at the beach which was so much fun. The whole trip lasted for around 4 hours and it was probably my favourite day out. Below is a picture of Paxo Beach. The sea water was so blue and so pretty. It was actually surprisingly warm too which was nice too.
View of our hotel | Water sports | Paxo Beach

Our hotel we stayed in was really nice. The staff were so friendly and the room were surprisingly big. The pool was a nice size and it was just a nice place to relax in the day (and sleep off our hangovers). We also did some water sports which was based right outside our hotel. I did the "sofa" (shown above) a couple of times which was good fun. Below is a picture of some of us before a night out and the other two are some more of our boat trip.
Ready for a night out | Cute BBQ restaurant on the beach | Blue Lagoon Cave

Overall I had the best 10 days with all the girls. We had some highs and lows but it was still a memorable holiday. It was cheap and cheerful! I actually really like Kavos and personally I don't think it is bad as it's made out to be. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday when Kavos probably isn't for you but there are some other beautiful places in Corfu and I wish we'd spent longer going to other places. Want to go back now the heatwave is over!

HIGH STREET BEAUTY HAUL

I haven't blogged in such a long time and it feels like I had completely lost interest in it and because I have been so busy over the last couple of months I just haven't had the time to get stuck in.I have also had "bloggers block" were I just haven't had any creative ideas of what to blog about. However, now I have finished school and have been on holiday and I have a lot of free time on my hand I am have decided to try and get back into it. I thought I would start off with a high street beauty haul showing you some items I've bought over the last week.
As you can tell from a post I did a couple of fews back I really love the Barry M nail polishes. However I never got round to trying the Gelly Hi Shine polishes. Because it was 3 for 2 in Superdrug I decided to splash out and buy a few shades for the summer. My favourite shade is the light blue colour 'Blueberry' and have been wearing it ever since I bought it and absolutely love it. I also bought another of my favourite top coat as I have run out of it. This top coat really helps with protecting against clipping. Like I said before I have just got back from holiday and to keep my skin protected after being in the sun I bought the Garnier after sun lotion and I absolutely love it. It smells amazing and it kept my skin so hydrated and prolong my tan. As we are having such nice weather in the UK at the moment I decided to buy some more to insure that my skin stays moisturised, hydrated and protected.
I also bought the Bourjois Color Boost in the shade "Fuchsia Libre". I have heard such good things about this and I wanted to see if it was any good myself. It says it should last for 10 hours and be waterproof so for £7.99 I wanted to see if it lives up to what it says. This product is similar to the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain and I want to see how they compare. Lately, I haven't been taking great are of my hair and I am really bad at protecting my hair against heat. I use hair straighteners everyday so I am really starting to notice the effect. As well as using damage repair shampoo and also bought the Aussie protecting stray to use when using heat in my hair. I haven't used it before and i'm not sure what it's like so I am looking forward to using it and seeing how good it is.
