V05 PLUMP IT UP LOTION

I recently bought the V05 plump it up blow dry lotion from Sainsbury's. I heard a lot about the new V05 range and I was looking for a heat defence spray as I am so bad at protecting my hair from heat which is awful as I use a hair dryer and straighteners everyday. I was instantly drawn to the "volume & thickness with natural bounce" claim that was on the bottle. My hair can use as much volume as it can get. So this was instantly a catch for me.
I have been using it everyday for a couple of weeks now on wet hair before I dry my hair. I stray it all over, including the roots and ends of my hair. I also use this with a simple styling mousse and so far I really like this product. It's cheap and affordable at £3.69 and it does give my hair some lift and thickness. It obviously doesn't make a dramatic difference but it does help. I have noticed that my hair has been in better condition now it is getting protected from the heat. I also love the pink packaging! I would definitely recommend this product.

ZERREAU TOWEL OFF SHAMPOO

I was contacted by Waterless Ltd to try out their new hair product Zerreau Beauty Towel off Shampoo foam (*). It is in a new concept of dry shampoo aimed to be quick and easy to using leaving you with clean hair without having to use water. It is different to other dry shampoos as it isn't a spray, it is a foam. I was interested to try is this out as I haven't tried this out before only used brands such as batiste and Tresemmé which I have liked.
This product is on the market for £6.99 for 180ml, which is a very reasonable price. It comes in two scents, Strawberry and apple and I was sent the strawberry scent. The smell is quite strong but isn't overpowering and the smell lasts a while when it is applied. To apply it, I take a decent pump of foam on my hand and rub it in to the roots of my hair and any other greasy parts. I love how quickly it dries & I do notice a difference once it's applied.
The only thing I would say, is that because you have to towel dry it, my hair looses a lot of volume. My hair is pretty lifeless anyway after I haven't washed it and this product doesn't revamp volume back in my hair as Batiste. However, all in all I really like this product and it doesn't the trick! This product is aimed for festival goers and i would definitely recommend it as it is a decent product to have and it is easy to travel will. Definitely worth giving it a try!

HAIR CARE PRODUCTS

Today I thought I would talk to you through some of my hair care products that I use on a day to day basis. Compared to skin care, I am terrible at protecting my hair and keeping it in the best condition which is shameful to say. However, since I have been growing my hair out I've been a lot better and have started to use products to help protect my hair like 'heat protecting stray' and hair oils. Below are the products I use & links to view them.

Like I said, I have been trying to protect my hair better and I now always use a heat protecting spray before blowdrying and straightening my hair. I have come to realise how important it since seeing the difference from doing it. I use the Aussie leave in spray and this bottle has lasted me a life time. I really like it and it does the job. I spray this through my hair (especially on the ends) after brushing it with my tangle teezer. I then use the Babyliss Keratin Shine hairdryer on a medium heat. My hair is quite fine and flat so I need as much volume as I can get. That's why I am regularly picking up the Pantene Volume & Body shampoo. On the days I don't wash my hair I will use the Batise Dry shampoo in the roots of my hair. I have always loved this brand and after spotting the XXL Volume dry shampoo I had to try it. However, I really don't like this one as much as the original ones. I find it is really sticky in my hair and doesn't rub in as well. I won't be purchasing this one again and I will just go back to the original bottles. The Finishing touch polish is something I use to style my hair after straightening it which I use along side the Toni&Guy Sea salt spray which I talked about in this post. I think keep my hair in place with the silvikrin classic hairspray. I love it as it keeps your hair in place all day but doesn't leave it sticky or hard at all. I buy Firm Hold 4.

TONI & GUY SEA SALT SPRAY

Today I am reviewing the Toni&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray. I'd been looking for a spray for a while that would give my hair a bit of texture and body after washing it. I had read a lot of good reviews about this product and wanted to give it a try. I originally bought the small 75ml travel bottle which was around £3 and absolutely loved it. After completely finishing that bottle and then re-purchased the bigger 200ml bottle for £7.19.
What I really like about this product is that it gives my hair body and texture for a long period of time just like proper salt water would do a the beach. A lot of other sea salt products I have used don't last long or don't give my hair any body at all, whereas this product does. To apply it I simply stray it directly on the middle and ends of my hair and then use my hands to scrunch it up a bit. This picture below shows the result it gives in my hair.
Another thing I like about this product is that it doesn't look sticky or "wet" in your hair. It helps my hair look thicker and producing volume without the use of backcombing. I am a sucker for backcombing but I have tried to stay away from doing it so much as it isn't very good for it. This product is a really good alternative and I would definitely recommend it. It also smells really good which is always a plus. The overall result is that is gives your hair volume and body and helps with making newly washed hair look a little backcombed and more textured.

HIGH STREET BEAUTY HAUL

I haven't blogged in such a long time and it feels like I had completely lost interest in it and because I have been so busy over the last couple of months I just haven't had the time to get stuck in.I have also had "bloggers block" were I just haven't had any creative ideas of what to blog about. However, now I have finished school and have been on holiday and I have a lot of free time on my hand I am have decided to try and get back into it. I thought I would start off with a high street beauty haul showing you some items I've bought over the last week.
As you can tell from a post I did a couple of fews back I really love the Barry M nail polishes. However I never got round to trying the Gelly Hi Shine polishes. Because it was 3 for 2 in Superdrug I decided to splash out and buy a few shades for the summer. My favourite shade is the light blue colour 'Blueberry' and have been wearing it ever since I bought it and absolutely love it. I also bought another of my favourite top coat as I have run out of it. This top coat really helps with protecting against clipping. Like I said before I have just got back from holiday and to keep my skin protected after being in the sun I bought the Garnier after sun lotion and I absolutely love it. It smells amazing and it kept my skin so hydrated and prolong my tan. As we are having such nice weather in the UK at the moment I decided to buy some more to insure that my skin stays moisturised, hydrated and protected.
I also bought the Bourjois Color Boost in the shade "Fuchsia Libre". I have heard such good things about this and I wanted to see if it was any good myself. It says it should last for 10 hours and be waterproof so for £7.99 I wanted to see if it lives up to what it says. This product is similar to the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain and I want to see how they compare. Lately, I haven't been taking great are of my hair and I am really bad at protecting my hair against heat. I use hair straighteners everyday so I am really starting to notice the effect. As well as using damage repair shampoo and also bought the Aussie protecting stray to use when using heat in my hair. I haven't used it before and i'm not sure what it's like so I am looking forward to using it and seeing how good it is.
